Komar Stroy fabricates and installs custom architectural glass and mirror work across New Jersey, New York City, and Connecticut. Glass is measured, cut, processed, and finished to the specific opening rather than ordered to a stock size, which is what makes it work in real buildings where nothing is quite square.

What We Fabricate

Frameless shower enclosures and wet-room screens, glass railings and balustrades, glass doors and entry surrounds, wall cladding and splashbacks, tabletops and shelving, and mirrors in any size or shape.

Mirror work includes wall-to-wall installations, gym and studio mirrors, antiqued and smoked finishes, and bevelled and polished edge treatments. Large mirrors are templated on site so the reveal is even against walls that are rarely truly plumb.

Glass Types and Processing

Toughened (tempered) glass is used wherever safety glazing is required by code, which covers shower enclosures, railings, doors, and any low-level glazing. Laminated glass is specified where the glass must remain in place after breakage, notably in railings and overhead applications.

Low-iron glass removes the green cast of standard float and is worth specifying where the glass is thick, where white or pale finishes sit behind it, or wherever true colour matters. Acid-etched, sandblasted, back-painted, and antiqued finishes are all available.

Processing includes polished, bevelled, and mitred edges, cut-outs for hardware and fixtures, and drilled holes for standoffs and patch fittings. All processing happens before toughening, since toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards.

Railings and Balustrades

Glass railings can be specified with base shoe channel, standoff fixings, or point-fixed spider fittings, with or without a top rail depending on the design and the loading. Structural requirements drive the glass makeup and the fixing method, so we confirm the applicable loading before detailing rather than after.

Templating and Installation

We template on site rather than working from drawings alone. Walls bow, floors fall, and openings rack; a digital template captures those conditions so the glass fits the building as built. Installation is by our own crews, with the hardware, sealing, and adjacent finish protection handled as part of the scope.
