ACM Façade Panels for New Jersey and New York

Komar Stroy fabricates and installs aluminum composite material façade systems across New Jersey, New York City, and Connecticut. ACM delivers the flat, monolithic appearance of solid metal plate at a fraction of the weight and cost, which is why it dominates contemporary commercial façades, mixed-use podiums, and retail storefront surrounds.

Brands We Supply

We work with Alpolic, Alucobond, Vitrabond, and Stacbond. Each carries a different finish range, core option, and panel format, so we match the product to the specification rather than pushing a single line. If your architect has already named a system, we can supply it; if the specification is open, we will recommend based on the fire rating required, the finish you are after, and the fabrication method that best suits the geometry.

Panel Construction

ACM is two aluminum skins bonded to a thermoplastic core. We work in 4mm and 6mm panels with 0.020" and 0.032" skin gauges depending on span, wind load, and the flatness the design demands. Heavier skins hold flatter over larger panels and resist oil-canning — the subtle waviness that ruins an otherwise clean façade.

Core selection is driven by code. Fire-rated (FR) mineral-filled cores are required on most mid- and high-rise assemblies in New York City and northern New Jersey; polyethylene cores remain viable on low-rise and non-combustible-construction projects. We confirm the required core against the project occupancy and height before quoting, and supply NFPA 285 documentation where the assembly calls for it.

Attachment Systems

We install three ways. Wet-seal systems use silicone-filled joints and suit budget-driven projects with straightforward geometry. Dry-joint rainscreen systems use open or gasketed joints with a drained and back-ventilated cavity, the preferred approach for performance-driven envelopes. Routed-and-returned cassette systems give the crispest reveals and the tightest tolerances, and are what we recommend where the façade is the architectural statement.

All three run on an engineered aluminum sub-framing system that we detail to the specific substrate — stud back-up, concrete, CMU, or existing façade in overclad conditions.

Finishes

Standard PVDF (Kynar 500) coatings carry long-term color and gloss retention warranties and cover solids, metallics, and micas. Anodized-look, wood-grain, and custom-matched colors are available. We can supply finish samples on actual panel stock for approval rather than chip cards.

Lead Time

Typical lead time is 2 to 4 weeks including shop drawings. That is materially faster than most curtain wall and window packages, which makes ACM a useful option when a façade scope needs to catch up to the rest of the schedule.

What We Handle

Field measurement, shop drawings, engineering, fabrication, delivery, and installation by our own crews. We produce stamped shop drawings in-house and coordinate directly with the architect of record through submittal and approval. On overclad and re-skin work we survey existing conditions before detailing the sub-framing.

We serve all five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, northern and central New Jersey, and southern Connecticut from our Teterboro facility.
